Road and Time Trial.
Road riding covers a fairly broad spectrum of riding. Road races, criteriums, century rides, time trials… it all falls under the umbrella of “road” racing but it’s not all the same. Every one of the Training Bible Cycling staff members is an accomplished road cyclist. From state champions to group ride “winners” we’ve done it all. No matter if your goal is winning the U23 World Championship, or just hanging on to the local hammer-head group ride, Training Bible Cycling can get you there.
Pack riding and long, paved roads aren’t for everybody. Some people live for the trees whizzing by their ears as they slice up narrow singletrack. The Training Bible Cycling staff is full of folks who got into cycling by riding the neighborhood trails and still shred the forest at every chance. With experience racing at the regional, national and even World Championship level, Training Bible Cycling knows mountain biking.
It’s chilly. It’s muddy. It’s a little bit silly. It’s also the most fun you will have on a weekend in the fall (after your lungs stop bleeding and your legs stop stinging, anyway). What was once considered a fringe sport of a fringe sport is now… a lot less fringe. It’s still just as fun. While cyclocross might be a new interest to many, Training Bible Cycling coaches have been racing CX for years. This year, when triathlon or road race season ends, get into cyclocross. You will love it. We’ll make sure of it.
If you’ve ever been on a velodrome, you know there’s absolutely nothing like racing on a velodrome- It’s a little bit like being on a roller coaster that is not confined to tracks. No other competitive cycling discipline can soothe a need for absolute speed like flying around the track. Velodrome racing is as much “bike games” as it is anything else- every type of racing requiring a different skill-set and conditioning. Training Bible coaches have raced and won on the velodrome. You can, too.
Gravel Road, Endurance and Fondo.
Patience and determination. That’s what’s going to get you to the end of a Gravel Road, Endurance Race, or Fondo. Sure, a 45 minute crit is hard. There might be parts you’re wanting to quit, but they come and go in minutes. Just like the race. Wanting to quit at the Dirty Kanza or Gran Fondo New York? That’s a feeling you will have to fight for hours. Knowing you’ve got the fitness to hit your goals is all the confidence you will need to get through the doubts. We can give you that confidence.
